An important Mertailor update
A New Chapter Begins.
After more than 25 years of creating mermaid tails, we're getting ready for some big changes. At the end of 2026, we're retiring and archiving many of the designs that have been part of Mertailor's story.

What you need to know
Yes, this is really happening.
We're retiring the majority of our current Whimsy, Fantasea, and Guppy tail skin artwork, along with many coordinating swimwear and activewear designs.
We wanted to give you plenty of notice. We know a mermaid tail isn't always something you purchase on a whim, and we'd rather give you time to plan than simply remove familiar designs without warning.
Once a design is archived, it will no longer be available for regular orders or special requests — including requests made directly to our team.
We make our products to order, so this is not a clearance sale. It's about making changes that let us focus on the products we create and the people we create them for.

If there's a design you've had your eye on, December 31, 2026 is your last guaranteed opportunity to order it from our current selection. The designs listed here are confirmed retirements; others may still be reviewed as we finalize the smaller core assortment.
